Meet the Staff

Dr. Tammy Wilde - Veterinarian

Dr. Tammy Wilde took over the practice in August of 2001. She is a 1997 graduate of the WCVM and, immediately following graduation, went to work in a mixed animal practice in Brooks, AB. She has worked on a variety of species such as cows, horses, llamas, buffalo and sheep. She has since turned her attention to small animals and pocket pets, where she enjoys orthopedics and ophthalmology. She currently lives here in St. Albert with her husband Scott, their sons Jack and Pete, their two dogs Mousse and Joon, and their cat Wyley.

Dr. Eva Braze - Veterinarian

Dr. Braze joined the Tudor Glen Veterinary Hospital in January 2008. She completed her veterinary degree in Latvia in 1996 then moved to the US for 3½ years where she worked as an Animal Health Technician. Luckily for us, her husband´s job brought her to Canada where she passed her veterinary board exams and has been practicing veterinary medicine now for over six years. She lives here in St. Albert with her husband and two children.  This photo was taken with her beautiful yellow Labrador, Lexi who sadly passed away in March this year.

Dr. Lucia Vits – Veterinarian

Originally from Chili, Dr. Vits has been in Canada for 3 years and started at the Tudor Glen Vet Hospital in January 2010. She is passionate about all animals but particularly cats, as she has several. Dr. Vits is excited to be taking her citizenship exam in June of this year as she loves Canada.

Dr. Shilton – Veterinarian

Dr. Shilton is originally from India and moved to Canada in 2000. He has been in practice for ten years three of those in Canada. Working only part time at the hospital frees up his time to spend with his new twin daughters. He is married to Saritha who just recently moved her with the babies. Dr. Shilton enjoys the company of his nine year old cat, Moby.

Dr. Tyler Hughes – Veterinarian

Tyler graduated from AVC in 2009, and spent a year working in BC doing small animal following graduation. He is originally from Nova Scotia. We met in vet school, got married in Mexico in winter of 2009. Tyler's hobbies are playing hockey, landscaping, and he loves early morning walks with the dogs. Mine are running, showing one of the dogs, and we both very much love BBQs in summertime and most outdoor activities (camping, hiking, taking the dogs swimming, etc).

Dr. Kristina Hughes – Veterinarian

Kristina graduated from AVC in 2008, worked in rural PEI doing mixed animal practice for a year. Kristina worked in BC for a year doing small animal. She originally moved out west so her and Tyler could work together in a progressive practice. Kristina has a horse, but haven't been able to bring her out west yet, she's still an islander. They currently have 2 English Setters, 3 cats, a rabbit, a gecko and a goldfish as well. Their main areas of interest are preventive care of companion animals, as well as internal medicine and general surgery. They are both learning orthopedic procedures, and that is their next area to focus on.

Jennifer Sauve – Head Animal Health Technologist

Jenn is new to us but not new to the AHT profession. She has been practicing for three years and is very excited to have joined the Tudor Glen team. As an AHT, she is very enthusiastic about client education, has a special interest in behavior, and enjoys teaching altogether. She teaches Puppy and Kitten 101 classes to pet owners both new and old here at The Tudor Glen Veterinary Hospital, and is happy to consult with clients about any questions they may have. In her spare time, she enjoys a number of sports including karate, basketball, and swimming. She and her husband, Ryan, have two dogs, Nala and Tucker. Jenn has started entering her dog, Nala, into a new competitive sport for dogs called Dock Dogs, which is a long distance jumping sport for dogs off a pier into water. Jenn and Ryan hope to have both of their dogs compete in this sport in the future.

Janet Blezy - Animal Health Technician

Janet graduated from the Lakeland College Animal Health Technology program in Vermillion in 2006. She originally joined our team shortly after her practicum and stayed with us for about a year. Janet returned again in 2008 and has plans to settle for a while. Janet has a special interest in small animal dentistry, mostly dogs. In her spare time she loves going to the gym and spending time with friends.

Jocelyn Babin - Animal Health Technician

Jocelyn graduated from the NAIT Animal Health Technology program in 2008 and joined our team in May this year. Although she loves all animals, Jocelyn has a soft spot for dogs, and hopes to one day add a special one into her life. On her time off, Jocelyn enjoys reading, horseback riding, cross-stitch and is just starting to scrapbook. Although a new graduate, Jocelyn hopes to learn lots and become the best she can be.

Lisa Dennis - Animal Health Technician

Lisa joined our team in October this year. She originally graduated from Fairview College back in 2003, obtaining her Animal Health Tech diploma. She has worked in various mixed animal veterinary clinic in rural small towns before moving to Edmonton in 2007 after getting married. Lisa has 2 dogs "Maggie and Fergus", six cats, one rabbit and a little boy. She enjoys the outdoors (in good weather), reading, knitting renovating her house and is training Fergus to pull a wagon.

Andrew Abiaka - Animal Health Technician

Andrew is originally from England. He and his family had moved to numerous locations around the world and now Andrew has settled permanently in Canada. In addition to loving Canada, there is one place that his heart remains, that is St.Vincent and the Grenadines, where he feels he really got to nurture his love of animals. After moving to Canada, Andrew graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Lakeland College in 2004. In 2005 he decided to further his education at the University of Alberta. In October 2009 he became part of the team here at Tudor Glen, where he hopes to make a significant contribution. Someday Andrew hopes to have a dog again, until then he makes do with his growing fish collection.

Lani Terada - Health Technologist Assistant

Lani has just recently joined the team as an Animal Health Technologist Assistant. She completed her degree in geography but changed directions eight years ago focusing in on animal health. Working in vet clinics in British Columbia has enabled her to follow her dreams. She grew up in the Okanogan and has moved to St. Albert in September 2009 with her partner and two orange tabby cats.

Maya Tsuchida - Health Technologist Assistant

Maya is previously from Japan and moved to Canada in 2004 and has been with Tudor Glen since 2007. She thoroughly loves living in Canada. Maya is an Animal Health Technologist Assistant. Maya really enjoys working with cats. She's married to a Canadian, Joe and she has one daughter, Simone. Her family speaks both Japanese and English.

Andrea Cruse – Kennel Assistant

Andrea is an experienced kennel assistant who is planning on entering the Animal Health Technology program in the fall of 2010.

Kody Cormeau – Kennel Assistant

An enthusiastic young man with a passion for animals, Kody grew up on a farm and was used to the hard work and strong work ethic needed in a kennel assistant. Kody started with us in February 2010 and enjoys reading and music.

Tehnita Richardson - Client Services

Tehnita joined the Tudor Glen veterinary team in September this year. She is originally from Grand Prairie, however she moved to Edmonton when she was young and now resides in St. Albert. She is currently studying to get her Animal Science diploma and in her spare time she really enjoys scrapbooking and drawing. She has three cats named Hinata, Chi and Emo.

Kira Williams - Client Services

Kira is a graduate from Olds College Equine Sciences majoring in Business Management. She loves working in this industry as it allows her to spend all time with animals. Working at Tudor Glen Veterinary Hospital allows her to apply her business management skills as well. She enjoys reading and visiting museums. Because of her passion and fascination with horses, she spends time at the thoroughbred stables as well.

Alyssa Keppy - Client Services

Alyssa joined the Tudor Glen Veterinary Hospital May 2010. She is a graduate from NAIT, Veterinary Administrative Assistant program and provides excellent customer service. Her quick smile and willingness to go the extra mile is a great asset to the hospital. Her hobbies include playing baseball, rollerblading and camping. She also spends time at the dog park with her one year old American Staffordshire Terrier, Stryker.

Cathy Silver – Operations Manager

Cathy graduated from NAIT's AHT program in 1996 and has worked in a variety of different practices over the years. She has a special interest in exotics and cats, and fawns over her 2 guinea pigs, 3 cats, husband and daughter. Cathy joined us as a Technologist in November 2009 but has now taken over the day-to-day operations of the clinic.

Wendy Schwab – Inventory/Human Resources

Wendy graduated NAIT in December 2004 with a Business Administration Diploma majoring in Accounting. Wendy joined us in February 2010, focusing on Inventory Management and Human Resources. She has 2 cats, Armani and Plywood and a Bulldog named Bella. She likes to go camping and most outdoor activities.

Carmen Wilde – Marketing/Client Services Liaisons

Carmen just started with us at Tudor Glen in March of this year, and is new to the Veterinary field. Countless years of customer contact as an interior designer however, have given her great insights into great customer care. Carmen's pride and joy is her 9 year old Springer Spaniel, Rio.

Tina Brennen - Executive Assistant

Tina has been with Tudor Glen Veterinary Hospital since August 2005 as a part-time executive assistant.  She is also undertaking university courses on a part-time basis and is slowly making her way towards a degree in psychology.  She also spends as much time as she can with her four pre-school aged grandchildren.  She shares her home with five cats named Truffles, Bon Bon, Pebbles, Sugar Pie and Jazz.  All were strays, and are now in their golden years.  In her little spare time Tina enjoys jogging, ballroom and country dance lessons and goes social dancing 2-3 times a week.
